Project Description

The project involves the operation and maintenance supervision of infrastructure networks in Sheikh Zayed City, Egypt (approx. 10,400 feddans). The works cover the supervision of water supply, irrigation, and wastewater networks to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient service delivery. This includes monitoring the performance of all distribution and transmission pipelines, supporting utilities, and associated network assets to maintain reliability, reduce losses, and extend the service life of the infrastructure.

Scope of Work

Supervision of operation and maintenance of utility networks, including main and secondary distribution pipelines.

Water pipe network: uPVC 25–450 mm (134.07 km); GRP 600–1500 mm (20.58 km); iron/plastic 12–75 mm (50.72 km); cast iron 400 mm (12.05 km); other/unspecified 63–160 mm (8.51 km); and polyethylene 110 mm (0.55 km).

Sewer pipe network: uPVC/UPVC 150–1800 mm (168.34 km); unspecified materials 100–1500 mm (105.48 km); clay 150–500 mm (55.12 km); concrete 200–1400 mm (6.58 km); PVC 200–500 mm (2.01 km); and plastic 200–400 mm (0.27 km).

Irrigation pipe network: Same available distribution as the water network, including uPVC 25–450 mm (134.07 km), GRP 600–1500 mm (20.58 km), iron/plastic 12–75 mm (50.72 km), and cast iron 400 mm (12.05 km).

Stormwater network: Approximately 27.80 km

24/7 supervision of operation and maintenance, including network flushing, cleaning, disinfection, pipe repairs, leakage control, and emergency breakdown works.

Monitoring of system performance, hydraulic efficiency, and service continuity, including proper operation and maintenance of valves, fittings, chambers, and network appurtenances.

Supervision of contractors for compliance with technical specifications, standards, approved maintenance programs, schedules, methodologies, and HSE requirements.

Monitoring asset condition and supporting preservation/life-extension programs, together with preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports and review/certification of contractor progress and maintenance reports.
