Project Description

The project aims to design the third phase of the drinking water treatment plant in New Cairo, with a daily production capacity of 500,000 m³, bringing the total treated water capacity to 1,500,000 m³/day. The treatment technology is based on Super Pulsators for sedimentation and rapid sand filtration. Sludge will be handled using gravity thickeners and drying beds, while lamella settlers are used for the concentration of filter backwash water. The study includes an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The third phase includes a detailed design for all associated works and systems with a capacity of 500,000 m³/day. In parallel, a master plan layout shall be developed for both the third and fourth phases, each with a capacity of 500,000 m³/day
