Project Description

A major national project aimed at reclaiming 465,000 feddans in Sinai through the transfer of water, primarily sourced from the Nile River, along with groundwater reserves and water resulting from Bahr El-Baqar wastewater treatment plant to the designated agricultural areas in North and Central Sinai. Advanced irrigation methods and efficient water management practices are utilized to optimize the use of the transferred water. The project also includes the development of extensive infrastructure, such as pipelines, pumping stations, and irrigation canals, designed to ensure the effective distribution of water throughout the targeted agricultural areas.

Scope of Work

Prepare shop drawings for all works related to the pumping stations and pipelines, covering:

  • Hydraulic, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Control, MEP and Roads

The scope of Hydro includes:

  • (9) pumping stations, Total no of working pumps = 37 and Standby = 12 , Q per pump =518 m3/day,
  • Pipelines made from various materials with total path length: 75,350 km
  • Prestressed Concrete with a diameter of 2200 mm and a length of 255,960 km
  • Carbon Steel with a diameter of 1600 mm and a length of 41,860 km
  • GRP with a diameter of 1400 mm and a length of 6,060 km
