Project Description

  • Al Galala City, one of Egypt’s most ambitious developments, is poised to become a leading tourist and residential hub.
Situated on the El-Galala plateau between Ain El-Sokhna and Zafarana, at an altitude of 542 meters, the city covers over 18,000 feddans. It offers world-class amenities, including an international medical city, the region’s first Olympic village, and various residential and tourism zones. To ensure a reliable water supply, Al Galala hosts Egypt and the Middle East’s first desalination plant, featuring a reverse osmosis system with a daily capacity of 150,000 m³.

Scope of Work

Complete design package and supervision of work of all disciplines:

  • Transporting 150,000 m³/day of water from the desalination plant to Galala plateau, raising it 542 meters through 4 booster stations.
  • booster stations each will include pump room, generator house, fuel water, water hammer and other related facilities.
  • Six strategic tanks, each with a capacity of 25,000 m³, diam. 56 meter and 10-meter height
  • Three steel pipelines, each 14 km in length with a diameter of 700 mm, including all necessary accessories, fittings, and related components.
  • SCADA system integration.
