The Cairo Wastewater Treatment Plant ( capacity 200,000 m3/day) – Southern Extension Area

The scope of services includes the complete engineering design of the wastewater treatment plant, comprising:

• Development and optimization of the wastewater treatment process to achieve the required effluent quality.
• Preparation of the Process Design Report (PDR), process calculations, hydraulic profile, and treatment process selection.
• Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process basic guide drawings, and process specifications.
• Design of all treatment units, including preliminary treatment, primary treatment (if applicable), biological treatment, secondary clarification, sludge handling facilities, tertiary treatment, disinfection, and treated water storage and pumping facilities.
• Complete hydraulic design of the treatment plant and interconnecting process systems.
• Detailed civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA designs for all process and auxiliary facilities.
• Design of utility systems, including potable water, service water, compressed air, chemical dosing systems, odor control, drainage, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
• Preparation of technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and complete tender documents.
• Coordination among all engineering disciplines to deliver an integrated and constructible design package suitable for procurement and construction.
