Project Description

Galala City covers approximately 2,050 feddans and comprises diverse land uses, including residential, commercial, sports, religious, educational, tourism areas, and mountain pathways. The city is located at elevations ranging from approximately 534 m to 575 m above sea level, serving a current population of approximately 192,460 people. The project involves the detailed design of pumping stations for potable water, irrigation, and sewage. The systems are designed to meet the city’s current and future needs, considering its mountainous terrain and varying elevations while ensuring reliable and efficient infrastructure.

Scope of Work

Detailed Design, Shop Drawings & As-Built Drawings: Preparation and coordination of the water, sewage, and irrigation pumping stations, including the detailed design of all pumping station units, both process and non-process, covering all associated civil, mechanical, and electrical components.

  • Sewage pumping station No. 3 : is equipped with centrifugal pumps having a capacity of 150 L/s per pump at a design head of 24 m. The system includes 3 pumps for the 1st stage and 4 pumps for the 2nd stage. A 500 mm OD HDPE PN6 force main, approximately 732 m long, conveying wastewater from WWPS-3 to the gravity network.
  • Irrigation Pumping Station No 2: 6 centrifugal pumps in two groups: Group 1 comprises 4 pumps, each with a capacity of 42 L/s and H=120 m, while Group 2 comprises 2 pumps, each with a capacity of 35 L/s and H=62 m, including all associated equipment and accessories.. The station conveys irrigation water through an 87 m long, 300 mm diameter DCI force main.
  • Water Pumping Station No 2: 6 spqConcord for Engineering and Contracting

    lit-case centrifugal pumps, each with a capacity of 140 L/s and a head of 85 m, providing a total station capacity of 840 L/s (3,024 m³/h) at 380 V.
