Irrigation Water Pumpstation of Capacity 500 000 m3/day at KM 160.90 of River Nile

Review of design documents and preparation of coordinated shop drawings for the West Minya 500,000 m³/day Pumping Station, including process and facility buildings and associated electromechanical and pipeline systems.

The project includes a multi-unit pumping configuration (6 duty + 3 standby high-capacity pumps), concrete wet well, electrical substation with transformers, SCADA automation system, water hammer protection systems, and three 1,800 mm diam. prestressed concrete pipelines with a total length of approximately 10.14 km, including ductile iron valves and the crossing of the Minya–Beni Suef Road.

The engineering team’s responsibilities include:

• Reviewing design drawings and specifications, and developing fully coordinated multidisciplinary shop drawings (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Utilities, and Electrical) to ensure constructability and eliminate site clashes.
• Providing technical support during construction through responses to RFIs, review of vendor submittals (pumps, VFDs, valves), and coordination of installation and commissioning requirements.
• Conducting site verification surveys, incorporating approved field modifications, and preparing final as-built documentation for project handover.
