Project Description

  • The project aims to design the 2nd phase of the drinking water treatment plant in Abu al-Nomros, with a daily production capacity of 61,000 m³, bringing the total treated water capacity to 122,000 m³/day. Several treatment options were proposed and evaluated to identify the most effective solution. Due to space constraints for the 2nd phase, a comparison of different treatment methods was conducted. The optimal solution chosen was the direct use of continuous sand filters (DynaSand). Additionally, the study includes the sludge treatment process of both phases.

Scope of Work

  • Topographic survey, soil investigation and hydraulic calculations.
  • Study the existing intake and its capacity to accommodate the second stage flow.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Study.
  • Complete design package for all disciplines (Process, Arch, Structure., Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC) for the below units:

•Fuel Tank •Gravity Sludge Pumps •Supernatant of Mechanical Dewatering
•Fine Screen •Dynasand Continuous Filters •Mechanical Dewatering Building
