Project Description

The Kom Ombo – Aswan Land Reclamation Project is a national initiative designed to deliver 3 million cubic meter of irrigation water per day from the Nile River to irrigate 147,000 feddans (61,740 hectares). This project is a key effort to enhance agricultural productivity and support local economies in the region

Scope of Work

Complete detailed design package and Tender documents for the 147,000 feddans including

  •  (Hydraulic – Architectural – Structural – Mechanical – Electrical – Control – MEP – Roads).
  •  (1) Main pumping station, Q= 3,000,000 m3/day (12 working + 3 Standby), Head = 83 m.
  •  (3) Force main diam. 2500mm, length 10500 linear meter.
  •  Open channel with the length of 85 km in addition of 4 Sub-branches of Length 59 km.
  •  Sub-pipelines Irrigation Networks of total length 750 km.
  •  (4) Intake regulators
  •  (2) weirs
  •  (8) bridge culverts
  •  (7) box culverts
  •  (1) Connection Chamber
  •  (932) Irrigation pivots center
  •  (73 ) Boosters
  •  Estimated electrical capacity of 160 Megawatt – (4) Electrical Distributors.
  •  Main and submain roads with the length of 1200 km
